Yesterday I hosted a Christmas luncheon at my house for our senior leadership of Hearts at Home. We chatted about all things holiday and one idea was shared that has really stuck with me. This was an idea about gift wrapping in a simple, “green” way.
One of the leaders has a friend who has created all kinds of different sizes of “pillowcase style” bags from scrap fabric. Each bag has a ribbon attached near the open end to tie the bag closed. This is how she wraps all of the family’s Christmas presents. It’s reusable, simple, economical and completely green! I think it’s a wonderful idea!
Another mom who commented to me offline mentioned that several years ago she had each of her kids decorate a large box. This box is how their Santa gifts are delivered…unwrapped…but placed in the appropriate box. Another great creative idea!
The winner of the Day 15 drawing will receive a copy of the Hearts at Home book The Complete Guide to Getting and Staying Organized by Karen Ehman. In her simple step by step process, moms can recognize their own personal style of managing their households successfully.

I can’t wait to hear about your wrapping traditions!
