“The revelation of God is whole and pulls our life together.
The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road.
The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy.
The direction of God are plain and easy on the eyes.
God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee.
The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.
God’s Word is better than a diamond, better than a diamond set between emeralds.
You’ll like it better than strawberries in spring, better than red, ripe strawberries!”
Psalms 19:7-10, The Message
This summer, I’m sitting on the porch and reading my Bible most mornings before my boys get up and going.
What about you? How are you keeping God’s truth in front of you this summer?
Oh, yes- I love this- and I need to get out to my patio right now! I love the Message!

I give my first free moments to God…whether that is at six in the morning or eleven in the evening. As I’ve developed my relationship with God, I stopped looking at God as an angry schoolteacher that is upset when I don’t show up on time, and started looking at him as my best friend waiting for me with a hot cup of coffee at my favorite coffee store. He’s dissapointed when I don’t show up because He had just the right words for me…not angry because I didn’t show up for a lecture. Every day there is something special to encourage me, or learn more about him. I was shocked when I heard that less than 40% of all professing Christians have actually read through their entire Bible, so I few years back, I decided to start. It has made a world of difference, and I’m a better mom and wife now then I used to be because of it.
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
