Yesterday I talked about turning on my iPod and running. Erin asked about my favorite worship songs for running. Here’s a list I made:
Worthy of My Praise
Shout to the North
Salvation is Here (Hillsong)
Revolution (Hillsong–United We Stand)
Better is One Day (Charlie Hall—Worship Together)Break Free (Hillsong–Savior King)
Every Move I Make
I also LOVE to run to my son’s Fuel Band worship CD “Depths of Love” that he and some friends made for a fundraiser for a mission trip to Romania a couple of years ago. I still have some of those CD’s so I’ll give away THREE of them today!
(If you’d like to check out my son’s new band you can find them online at www.musicbyemerson.com.)
Just post your favorite worship songs for exercising and I’ll draw three random winners from those who comment! (Make sure and include your email like this: jillannsavage (at) yahoo (dot) com.)
P.S. Happy Birthday, Mom! I love you!

I was needing some new songs for running – thanks! A few I like –
Glory to God Forever (Fee)
I dare you to move (switchfoot)
Dive (Steven Curtis Chapman)
You Never Let Go (Matt Redman)
Indescribable (Chris Tomlin)
I love running listening to Chris Rice's Smellin' Coffee and Ginny Owens' Free. I also enjoy find myself singing the lyrics in my head to I can do all things from Willow Creek's Promiseland CD, Doing Life with God in the Picture. I just enjoy anything with a good beat about God. It helps me keep some pep in my step.
My 3 girls and I love to get motivated by "The Motions". All of my girls, ages 4,7 and 11, know all of the words and we belt it out while cleaning, driving, exercising, or just anytime we want a pick-me-up! It's even my ringtone.

I don't listen to worship songs, but I do listen to Christian music. I prefer Superchic[k]. Pretty much all of their albums work for me.
For me, it is perfect.
I like Toby Mac, Super Chick (more rock Christian), and Kim Walker who is more praise and worship. I have "I have found", "Can I Have more of You" and Dance on my iPod.
My email is katiepetko (at) yahoo (dot) com
I don't know if it falls under your category of worship songs but I LOVE working out to Toby Mac. The lyrics are awesome and the beat keeps me going.
Indescribable by Chris Tomlin
Also several songs by Casting Crowns

A friend of ours wrote a great song (my new favorite), but hasn't got it recorded yet, but you can listen to it on YouTube, just search Clay Harting or klawrence1213's videos! My kids love the song "Big Fish". Another is an old Tom T. Hall song "Me and Jesus".

Everlasting God is one of my favorites right now. I don't know where I would find this as I know it as a song my choir sang a while back, but when I ran my last half marathon I kept thinking about Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning.
Great posting idea! I am going to refer back to this for a new playlist!
