So I’ve had my sweet little granddaughter, Rilyn, for the past 4 days.  Her mommy and daddy went to a conference in Atlanta, GA.

Can I be honest with you? I’m tired.  Just worn out.  She’s a really good baby…but she’s a baby and baby’s take alot of energy and need alot of attention.

There’s not inspiration from me today…just empathy.  If you’re tired, you’re not alone. Mothering takes alot out of you.  Most days I’m parenting teenagers…that’s emotionally exhausting.  The past four days have been physically exhausting.

You know if I would have had a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group in my community when my kids were younger, I would have qualified to attend a group for 17 straight years. That’s right…with a span of over 12 years from my oldest to my youngest, I had a preschooler for 17 straight years!  Crazy, huh?

So since I’m tired and without much energy today, I’m going to go take a nap and I think it’s time for you to talk.  Plus we’re overdue for a fun giveaway!

So…what is your routine for taking care of yourself physically?  Do you go to bed early? Nap when the kids nap?  Are you a night owl that prefers to sleep in on the weekend?

Everyone who shares today will be entered into a drawing.  One lucky person will win one Hearts at Home book of their choice.

Oh and by the way…next week I’m “speaking” at an online conference called Parenting Summit.  It’s a free online parenting event.   Just register online HERE and you’ll receive all the info you need to take advantage of some great “on demand” workshops!

Now don’t forget to share and read through the comments today to find more practical ideas on taking care of yourself so you can take care of your family!
