The Hearts at Home weekend pulls us out of the daily grind of life for a couple of days. It’s exhausting but refreshing at the same time. But life doesn’t stop and once we’re back home we moms hit the ground running.

Like yesterday.

We returned home from church only to find that someone didn’t close the rabbit cage very well and while we were at church one of the cats got Austin’s rabbit. Now he’s in rabbit heaven. Austin cried for nearly 3 hours. My 12-year-old actually let me rock him as he cried and cried.

Then Erica had a reaction to a new medication she was taking.

And Kolya still has “the pink eye,” as he calls it.

Ah, the realities of motherhood.
