Did you ever watch Little Bear on Nick Jr? I used to wish that I could be half, no–one third, as good as his mother was. Until my DH reminded me that she was only a cartoon. One among many that I watched with my kids–I could name them all. I am so grateful that Jesus paved the way for us, so we don’t have to be perfect; we need to be available.

What a wonderful and totally appropriate comment. It seems like I often struggle with trying to balance being a wife, Mom, housekeeper, friend and servant of God. I never do as well at any of these roles as I would like. I just have to keep reminding myself that life will always be a balance and Christ is in the business of relationships, not clean bathrooms:)

Great insight from both of you! We have to remember what we see on TV isn’t real and that relationships are more important that housekeeping tasks! Thanks for the practical reminders!
