I am so inspired! I have learned something new or been inspired in my marriage by every one of your comments! This is what I love about moms groups and Hearts at Home—we get to encourage and learn from one another.
Here’s my tip for today: Write him a love letter telling him all the things you admire about him and thanking him for what he does for the family. One of a man’s top needs is admiration. He can never hear too much of it!
If you want to add to our tips on how to keep romance in your marriage (and enter the drawing to win one of three marriage resources), simply comment on the January 31 post below.
I love being with other moms too! I feel so blest! 🙂
Write a note stating the reasons I feel in love with my husband the few months after we started dating. Makes me realize that he is still the same man, just at a different stage in his life. I hope he sees that too!
I hide my husband notes in places that he might not expect to find them. I fold them up in his socks, in his wallet, work calendar, pants pocket, bathroom drawer, car, etc. Another thing to add to a note is a picture of you two together recent or old (I think the old ones are a good reminder of “the good ol’ days”). My husband drives all day so his car is his “office.” I make sure to creatively put pictures of us and our kids in his car.
I try to do physical and mental reminders. I love leaving notes in his wallet, inside cd cases, recorded on his computer, or even an email out of the blue. I also try to give him the occassional swat on the rear, kiss on the ear or wink from across the room!
