There’s no better way to start off the day and the week, than allowing God to speak to your heart and mind.
I love this verse in Colossians 2:
6-7My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
Today’s challenge is to turn every complaint into thanksgiving.
- When you find your husband’s shoes in the middle of the bedroom floor, thank God you have a husband to fill those shoes.
- When you find your child didn’t do something they were supposed to do, thank God that your child is healthy and able to accomplish tasks.
- When you discover a family member you don’t particularly enjoy will be coming to your Thanksgiving dinner, thank God for the opportunity to love this person even when it’s hard.
Amen !
Always perfect timing. Thanks for sharing, Jill!
I just recently blogged about this too. To intentionally seek the good in all things!
