There’s no better way to start off the day and the week, than allowing God to speak to your heart and mind.

I love this verse in Colossians 2:

6-7My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.

Today’s challenge is to turn every complaint into thanksgiving.

  • When you find your husband’s shoes in the middle of the bedroom floor, thank God you have a husband to fill those shoes.
  • When you find your child didn’t do something they were supposed to do, thank God that your child is healthy and able to accomplish tasks.
  • When you discover a family member you don’t particularly enjoy will be coming to your Thanksgiving dinner, thank God for the opportunity to love this person even when it’s hard.
Let’s get our heart in the right place to REALLY enjoy Thanksgiving to the fullest.
