For many of us, the turkeys and pumpkins are packed up and the Christmas decorations are on display. As moms, December is a full month of shopping, baking, making memories for our family.
That’s why I’m devoting December to you, Mom, in my 25 Days of Christmas Giveaway! Hearts at Home is taking care of you so you can be your best to take care of others!
Every day from December 1 to December 25, I will offer a daily Christmas topic for you to share your ideas and giveaway. Each daily giveaway stands alone, but every time you participate you are entered into a grand prize giveaway of a free Hearts at Home conference registration (for those who can attend a live event) or a free Home Conference Packet (for those who cannot attend a live event).
You can enter daily in any or all of these five ways:
1) Comment on the topic of the day (make sure and include your email address in your comment)
2) Twitter about the daily discussion topic and giveaway
3) Blog about the discussion topic and giveaway
4) Subscribe to my blog
5) Get another mom to subscribe to my blog (she gets an entry and you get an entry). Limit one per day.
As you can see, you can enter each giveaway up to four times a day! On one day you can earn up to five entries by subscribing to my blog or letting me know that you are already subscribed to my blog!
In doing so, you’ll be broadening our discussion so we can benefit from even more shared ideas, and you’ll be connecting other moms to a great online community!
Each morning, I will post a new discussion question and a giveaway. The giveaway will last until midnight of the following day to allow for two full days of discussion on each topic. It also means that our discussions will overlap each day.
I’m so excited to capture new ideas for making the most of the holidays! I hope you are, too!

So let’s get started!
Our family routinely decorates our home for Christmas the Saturday after Thanksgiving (except this year we’ll actually be doing it this coming weekend). The first thing we do is put on Christmas music. Mark and the kids set up the tree (artificial because of our allergies). I tend to be in charge of decorating the rest of the house while they decorate the tree. It usually takes several hours until we’re done and have all the boxes put away. Then we make some hot chocolate, turn off the house lights, and enjoy just the Christmas tree lights.
What traditions do you and your family have for decorating for Christmas? Do you have any suggestions for fun traditions to start? You can share on this topic until Wednesday, Dec 2 at midnight (make sure you include your email address so I can contact you if your name is drawn). I’ll draw a winner on Thursday.  (If you are reading this later in the month, click here for the current discussion.)

If you choose to additionally enter the giveaway by blogging, twittering, subscribing, or getting a friend to subscribe, send an email to jillsavagegiveaway (at) yahoo.com stating how you shared the giveaway today!

Today’s giveaway is the brand new Hearts at Home Mom’s Prayer Journal. Just released a couple of weeks ago, this resource is designed to help you keep track of your prayers and the answers God gives!
