Your soul:
Read Isaiah 40:29-31. Write it on a piece of paper or an index card and post it where you can see it regularly.
Thank God for five things today.
You:
Read the second chapter of the book you started yesterday.
If you’d prefer not to read, listen to a podcast of your choice. My friend Susan Seay’s Mentor 4 Mom’s podcast is a good one!
Marriage:
Flirt by text all day–even if he is just in another part of the house! (You can tap into my free Flirt Alert for ideas or download the Bitmoji app for some easy messages back and forth!)
Kids:
Everyone outside for 15 minutes minimum each day.
Have a tea party today! Bake cookies, or open a box of cookies, or make no bake cookies, and serve a drink (tea, juice, Gatorade) out of a teacup. Teach them table manners like putting your napkin on your lap, or asking for something rather than reaching for it.
Teens: Set up a card table and get a puzzle started that anyone can work on at anytime.
Exercise:
If the weather permits, take a walk today. Even if it’s chilly, bundle up and enjoy nature. If the kids go with you, play “I spy” for signs of spring.
House:
Clean out and organize your kitchen utensil drawer.
Clothes:
Do one load of laundry = washed + dried + put away! (Use a timer to keep track of when it’s washed and dried!)
You’ve got a unique opportunity today! Use it well!
Thank you, Jill. This season is so hard. One day we’re strong and vibrant fully relying on God, and the next I’m angry and fearful and feeling stressed about how much longer this will go on. Your guide above has great ways to keep centered. The only way our family is able to be love to one another during this time is to keep putting on the word of God and be intentional.
Yes, Lisa, I think we are all feeling that swing of emotions. Keeping our eyes on the Mountain Mover and not the mountain is the only thing that will steady us.
Thank you so much, Jill! I’m starting this a week late but just love it. Short, sweet, simple=doable!
That’s how I’ve designed them. Short, sweet, simple and you can hop in anytime!
