This video is a powerful reminder that the advertising media doesn’t always tell us the truth. If you have pre-teen and teenage daughters, you might want to share this with them. We can’t compare ourselves to what we see in magazines, on television, and on billboards because it’s not real!
Check this video out to see what I mean!
Let’s start showing things like this to girls before they are pre-teens. My six-year-old alreay loves pretty clothes and accessories. I showed her this video. She didn’t say much but I think it is important, given her natural bends, to start this conversation early.
Great video. I will be showing it to my 8 year old daughter and my 10 year old son when they get home from school.
My 3.5 yr old daughter watched this video with me and asked me why she (the model) looked so sad? Hmmm. She also said that “the lady wanted her hair down and that the hair people didn’t do it right”. Hehe. Thanks for sharing. What a reminder to us all that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and comes from within.
