My Key Takeaways:

1) Speak life in your home. When was the last time you did an inventory of the words that come out of your mouth? As we go throughout our day, there are countless opportunities to speak kind words and encouragement aloud. Life can beat us up, and sometimes, it can feel like every move you make receives criticism. So when it comes to our homes, they should be the places where our words bring life. Try keeping a note in your phone with compliments, appreciation, and life-giving words for your spouse, and then read them out loud to them later! You’ll be surprised by the positive impact your thoughtful words can make.

2) Look for “micro” ways to serve your spouse. Creating a rhythm of service in your marriage doesn’t have to be some large, time-consuming gesture. It could be as simple as making the bed, putting away the dishes, picking up their favorite snack, or making sure they have hot coffee before heading out the door. The key is to take the time to learn what makes your spouse feel special so you can meet their needs in the most impactful way.

3) Slow down and enjoy the simple moments of life. In today’s fast-paced world, we can forget about the importance of taking intentional moments to pause, connect, and savor the present with our spouse. It is only when we cultivate a rhythm of rest and rejuvenation that our love can truly flourish.
