Today's Opportunity Plan Day 10

In this unique season of family togetherness, we have the opportunity to be intentional about our self-care, our relationships, and even taking care of the home we live in.
Sometimes we need a little vision, though. A plan. Some ideas that get us heading in the right direction.
If you missed my introduction to “Today’s Opportunity Plan,” you can find it here.

Here’s Day 10:

Your soul:
Spend time thanking God today for what you’re grateful for even in this hard season. You might consider writing out your prayer like a letter to God.
You:
Take a walk and look for signs of spring and new life. Breathe a prayer of thanks with each sign you see.
Marriage:
Shut the television off, put your screens down, and play a game together and just have a glass of wine or something sparkling (we do sparkling water!) and just talk about your day. Use the three-question technique to drive conversation deeper.
Kids:
Everyone outside for 15 minutes minimum each day.
Kids: Make edible playdoh. Pull out your cookie cutters and let them have some playdoh fun.  When they’re done, it’s a snack!
Teens: Have them go through their clothes today. Give them three containers: trash, donate, pass on to someone else in the family.
Exercise:
When was the last time you did sit ups? Today’s the day! If you need some help, tuck your toes up underneath a low piece of furniture.

House/Homemaking
Today is a great day to clean ceiling fans. Here’s a hack I use: Take a pillowcase and slide the fan blade in the pillowcase. Put your hands on the top and bottom of the bland and slowly pull off the dust right into the pillowcase! Do that with all your fans and then shake your pillowcase out and throw it in the wash! (Wash it in hot water to kill the dust mites!)

Clothes:
Ready to tackle another child’s clothes? (If you don’t have more than one child, you get a pass today!)
You’ve got a unique opportunity today! Use it well!
