Today's Opportunity Plan Day 35In this unique season of family, we have the opportunity to be intentional about our self-care, our relationships, and even taking care of the home we live in.

Sometimes we need a little vision, though. A plan. Some ideas that get us heading in the right direction.

If you missed my introduction to “Today’s Opportunity Plan,” you can find it here.

Here are your day 35 opportunities:

✝️Your soul:
Read Romans 12:9-21. These verses will help you to love well–especially loving people who are hard to love right now!

Read another chapter in that book you started. If you haven’t started a book, start one today!

Ask each other: What could I do to make you feel more loved? Listen well. Love well.

Everyone outside for 15 minutes minimum each day.

Babies: Introduce your little one to lots of different textures today. Walk around the house and find different things to touch.

Kids: Have the kids create a talent show today complete with costumes. You could encourage their acting skills by telling them they need to be three different people with three different talents in the show.

Teens: Invite them to help you in the kitchen today. Use the time working side by side to talk about the highs and lows of this unique season. Just listen and ask questions–resist the urge to teach.

Two sets of 10 Jumping Jacks.

Reach out to a neighbor you haven’t touched base with yet.

Clean out and organize your food storage cabinet (tupperware, pyrex, etc.)

Clean your rings today. The best way to clean rings is to make a solution with warm water (almost hot) and dishwashing soap. Then soak your ring for anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes (set a timer so you don’t forget). Gently brush the stone with a very soft toothbrush, and rinse under warm running water (with the drain closed!) You can also do a quick soak in hydrogen peroxide to kill any germs on the ring.

You’ve got a unique opportunity today! Use it well!
