If you have followed our ministry for some time, you know that we have had many opportunities to support marriages through marriage coaching and intensives here in the United States and have recently had incredible opportunities to meet relational and physical needs in Africa as well.
We have been dreaming up ways to organize those efforts, and we are so excited to finally be able to share that we have started a brand new nonprofit!
Our nonprofit is called the Life 2.0 Foundation and it is the non-profit arm of JAM Savage Ministries. Our mission is to help others create a 2.0 life in both the U.S. and Africa.
A Heart for Helping
We have been supporting people for our whole life together. Carrying a heart for people in our daily life is what we’re passionate about.
Mark was a pastor and church planter for many years and used his position to minister to the hearts of struggling and hurting people. Jill supported thousands of moms through the Hearts at Home conferences and ministry for many years as the Founder and CEO. Through JAM Savage Ministries, we have had the opportunity to invest in thousands of marriages and relationships through our online resources, in-person intensives, events, individual coaching, and marriage coaching.
Most recently, God provided the opportunity to minister to marriages in Uganda (seriously, the story is crazy!) and at the time we had partnered with another nonprofit to help collect and distribute funds. However, it became clear that we had outgrown this partnership and it was too challenging for them to manage those donations for us.
That’s when we knew it was time to start our own nonprofit.
The Life 2.0 Foundation
If you missed it above, the Life 2.0 Foundation is the non-profit arm of JAM Savage Ministries, and our mission is to help others create a 2.0 life in both the U.S. and Africa. We are currently helping several orphanages in Africa, offering training for marriage coaches in Uganda, and funding our scholarship fund for marriage coaching and Marriage 2.0 Intensives here in the USA. Kato Brian, one of the orphanage directors that we work with said, “Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough for the help your community provides. We have computers because of you. We have a new latrine because of you. We have land because of you. And we are building a new dormitory because of the Life 2.0 Foundation. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
What God is already doing already through this nonprofit is incredible!
Our own marriage was saved when we went from “Mark and Jill 1.0” to “Mark and Jill 2.0”. If we weren’t able to grow and transform as individuals through the help of God and other trusted voices, we wouldn’t have the healthy and secure version of our marriage today.
As we hear about others who are struggling in their marriage relationship or who want to transform their personal life and experience growth, our heart’s desire has always been to help them. We never want a lack of access to be the reason why someone’s marriage fails or that they feel like there is no hope. This nonprofit makes a scholarship fund possible.
We recently talked all about the Life 2.0 Foundation and our heart behind starting a nonprofit in this recent episode of the No More Perfect Podcast:
We believe that we have a biblical call to act. Galatians 6:2 tells us, “Bear one another’s burdens.” Beyond just the benefit of helping ease someone else’s burdens through this assistance, what we are really doing is sharing the love of Christ. If we have extra resources, it is within our ability to make a difference!
Our hope for the Life 2.0 Foundation is that it would provide access to resources for those in need. There are so many needs we have become aware of from computers being stuck in customs, couples who can’t afford marriage coaching, an orphanage dormitory that needs to be built, marriage coaches in Africa to be trained, and more! Through the Life 2.0 Foundation we are creating a community of givers to meet these tangible needs! We’d love for you to join us in this endeavor!
