Today's Opportunity Plan Day 26In this unique season of family , we have the opportunity to be intentional about our self-care, our relationships, and even taking care of the home we live in.

Sometimes we need a little vision, though. A plan. Some ideas that get us heading in the right direction.
If you missed my introduction to “Today’s Opportunity Plan,” you can find it here.

Here are your day 26 opportunities:

✝️Your soul:
Continue reading the Easter story. Today read Matthew 26:30-75

?You:
Focus on what you’re grateful for today. If you started a “Grateful” list a few weeks ago, add to it. If you haven’t started a list, start one today. What we think about determines how we feel. Push your thoughts towards gratefulness today.

?Marriage:
Talk with your spouse about a strategy for some “couple time” in the next few days. Can you connect while the kids are napping? Is it time to initiate a bedtime so you have time in the evening? If you have older kids, can you do more walks as a couple so you have time to talk? Can you turn off the TV one night a week to play a game and have fun together?

?‍?‍?Kids:
Everyone outside for 15 minutes minimum each day.

Kids: Make a chalk “exercise course” on the sidewalk or driveway. Here are some ideas: Start here, jump over this line, hopscotch, 10 jumping jacks, jump over three lines, dribble the ball 10 times, balance on one foot, run to the next line, Finish!

Teens: Have your teen clean out their dresser drawers. Give them a container to put clothes they don’t wear anymore in.

?‍♀️Exercise:
Up and down a set of stairs 10 times today.

?Contact:
Send a thank you note to someone you know who is on the front lines of the medical profession.

?House/Homemaking
Clean one bathroom today.

?Clothes:
Switch out seasonal clothes for another child today. (If you only have one child and you did this yesterday, do your today.)

You’ve got a unique opportunity today! Use it well!
