If you’ve been part of our community for a while, then you’ve likely heard us talking about the Life 2.0 Foundation.

This is our non-profit arm of JAM Savage Ministries, and it’s how we help people—both through marriage coaching scholarships as well as the work we do in Africa—transform their lives from the 1.0 version to the 2.0 version.

We firmly believe that God is a God of second chances. He’s all about redeeming our pain for His purpose.

As the hands and feet of Jesus in a lost and broken world, we are committed to doing what we can to make a difference.

Whether you have listened to our podcast, reading our blog, following our journey on social media, or making a donation to the Life 2.0 Foundation, we want to share with you all the ways the Lord has been at work through our efforts this year. All of this would not have been possible with you!

In this article, we’re focusing on the impact we were able to make in Africa this year. Every story here represents real people, real needs, and real redemption, made possible by your faithful support:

1) Uganda Marriage Conference

Our first boots on the ground efforts in Africa began in June 2023 with a three-day marriage conference along the Nile River in Jinja, Uganda. Since then, it has only grown, with our second trip taking place in January of this year and our third planned for February 2026!

This year, we had over 1,000 individuals attend our marriage conference (many of whom were pastors). Some couples walked for three days just to attend this conference!

We are thrilled to share that our impact didn’t stop when we flew home. That’s because 50 couples from Uganda trained with us so they could continue to help support other marriages in their communities year-round.

Both our conference and training sessions require a significant amount of resources. Yet, we know that the need for this information is great in Uganda, which is why we:

  • Make admission completely free
  • Provide hot meals for attendees
  • Create comprehensive manuals for our coaches in training

With your help, we can continue uplifting couples in Uganda and equipping them with the tools they need to strengthen their own marriages and support other couples in their communities—all without asking them to pay a penny.

2) Medical Clinic Established

If you are interested in hearing the full “God-Story” of how we were led to Uganda, you can watch us tell the story here. We also went more into depth about this story on our podcast:

LISTEN: To Uganda with Love with Pastor Zachariah | Episode 135

Our journey of outreach in Africa began when we met a man named Daniel Tulibagenyi on a sidewalk in Montgomery, Alabama.

Daniel leads the ministry of Promise International, a ministry to special needs children and their families. Each time we travel to Uganda for marriage ministry, we do it in partnership with Promise International. We support their ministry with financial aid for medications and medical equipment, as well as providing practical items through our Amazon Mission Trip Lists.

While we knew on our last trip in January that Daniel was dreaming of creating a medical clinic to support the medical care of the special needs children he serves and their family members, we never could have imagined that God would work this quickly to make this dream a reality! The clinic will be officially opened and dedicated when we travel to Africa in February 2026.

3) Purchased a Permanent Home

The Grateful Children’s Home is run by Musaazi Enoch. Enoch became an orphan when he was 7 years old, and after living on the streets for many years, he decided he wanted to save other children from the streets.

This year, we were able to help Enoch purchase a permanent home for the orphanage as well as a one-acre farm plot where they can grow their own food. Previously, they were renting the home for the orphanage, which presented a significant recurring cost to them. Now, those funds can go to better care for the children and provide things like school fees and food.

We also continue to help cover medical expenses for both Enoch and the children in addition to providing a wide array of crucial resources.

4) A New School for Butiki Village

Kato Brian, 28, was 7 years old when he lost his father and 12 years old when he lost his

mother, both to HIV/AIDS. Today, Brian cares for 45 children in the Butiki Children’s Ministry Orphanage, but he educates 123 children from the orphanage and the surrounding village in their orphanage school.

When we visited in January 2025, the children were learning in a lean-to structure with a dirt floor and no solid walls. Many were sitting on the ground because there were not enough chairs and desks. We asked God to help us change that.

With the help of some donors and a foundation grant, we are now in the process of building a new school for the Butiki Children’s Ministry so the children can learn in an environment that is conducive to learning.

Not only that, but our compassionate donors have helped provide:

  • Safe beds and mosquito nets for every child
  • New desks for the school
  • New dormitories so the children no longer have to sleep in rented quarters

Through the funds given to the Life 2.0 Foundation, we were also able to help protect their land, cover school fees and books for students who could not attend otherwise, and improve the living space for a special needs child.

We are constantly amazed by all the ways God is moving beyond our wildest imagination to impact lives and marriages. Thank you for standing with us and believing that together, we create lasting change.
